Prophet Noah(Nooh) A.S

             Prophet Nooh A.S

Hazrat Nooh (A.S.) – A Story of Patience, Faith, and Perseverance

The life of Hazrat Nooh (A.S.) is one of the most inspiring examples of patience, faith, and dedication in Islam. Allah sent him to guide his people away from idol worship and to call them toward the worship of the One True God. Imagine calling people to the truth for 950 years, yet most of them ignore or mock you. Hazrat Nooh (A.S.) never gave up.

> “I called my people by night and day, but my call only made them flee.”
(Surah Nuh: 5-6)

Despite centuries of patience, only a few believed in his message, showing that spreading the truth often requires enormous perseverance.

The Ark – Craftsmanship and Faith

When Allah instructed him to build the ark, Hazrat Nooh (A.S.) used his skills and hard work to create a massive wooden ship. People laughed, saying, “A wooden boat will save you?” But Hazrat Nooh (A.S.) worked with care, patience, and complete trust in Allah.

Even today, carpenters sometimes write “Salamun Ala Nooh” in their workshops to honor his skill and perseverance. His craftsmanship, combined with faith, became the means through which Allah saved believers and the animals during the great flood.

Lessons from the Qur’an and Hadees

1. Patience and Perseverance – Hazrat Nooh (A.S.) remained steadfast despite rejection:

> “And indeed We sent Noah to his people, and he remained among them nine hundred fifty years.”

2. Faith in One God (Tauheed) – He constantly reminded people to worship Allah alone and abandon idol worship.

3. Trust in Divine Guidance – Even in the face of mockery, he followed Allah’s command to build the ark.

4. Using Skills for Allah – Hazrat Nooh (A.S.) shows that your talents and abilities, when used for Allah’s guidance, can achieve incredible results.

5. Faith Comes First – Even family ties cannot replace faith. His own son refused to believe and was not saved in the ark.

Rasool Allah ﷺ said:

> “On the Day of Judgment, people will come to Noah (A.S.) and say: You were the first Messenger sent to the people of the Earth.”

It is important to note that Adam (A.S.), Shees (A.S.), and Idrees (A.S.) were also prophets. Hazrat Nooh (A.S.) is described here as the first messenger sent specifically to a whole nation, which is why he is honored with this title.

Another Hadith mentions:

> “The five greatest prophets are: Muhammad ﷺ, Ibrahim (A.S.), Musa (A.S.), Isa (A.S.), and Noah (A.S.).”

Takeaway

Hazrat Nooh (A.S.) teaches us that faith, patience, and action must go hand in hand. Life may bring overwhelming challenges, but his story reminds us that:

Using our skills and abilities in Allah’s way,

Remaining patient despite rejection, and

Trusting Allah completely

…can lead to success and ultimate salvation. His life is a timeless example of how dedication, craftsmanship, and unwavering faith can overcome even the greatest of trials.
